At the exclusive invitation of the Canadian Country Music Awards, The Uptown GiftBox Company is proud to be producing the official backstage 2009 CCMA Gift Lounge and Gift Bags.
Brimming with the hippest, most gorgeous and sought-after swag, it's the perfect way for a non-profit organization like the CCMA to thank all of the performers, presenters and VIPs for their generous participation.
Most assuredly not the backstage scene that they're used to, our uber-cool Gift Lounge is a tasteful retreat, filled with amazing sights, sounds, flavours and experiences.
Celebs, media and VIP's will be treated like Country-Royalty! An exclusive, invitation-only zone, the backstage Lounge is the ultimate place to sample some of the hottest brands and products around.
Each of the Lounge guests will be escorted by their own personal Lounge host, and introduced to all the fabulous sponsors throughout the space. They will be given the chance to customize their 'swag' and take their pick of items that appeal to them. Their host will liaise with the onsite Uptown Event Team to package all their gifts, and add them to the stuffed-full Gift Bags that await them.
Live music, a relaxing oasis and a private backstage party, all in one.

- The Uptown GiftBox Company is thrilled to present one of Canada's favourite music and media pioneers, Erica Ehm as this year's Official Gift Lounge Host. One of Canada's most recognized media personalities, Erica was barely in her 20s when she became the first female video jockey on Canada's MuchMusic cable TV station. Erica went on to launch a multi-media career that has included television, radio, film, theater, journalism, songwriting, and music publishing. Winner of many awards including a couple of Junos and CCMA Awards, Erica will add a fantastic element to our backstage party! More (www.yummymummyclub.ca)
- The AG Hair Cosmetics company will be onsite 'tousling tresses' and providing hair touch-ups by famed celebrity stylist Jami Symons.
- Tempting tastebuds with sweet treats, the 'cupcake crew' from the Fraser Valley's Frosting Cupcakery will offer guests delicious snacks.
- Lounge guests will rock out to the live sounds of local 'hottie' and Canadian Idol contestant Greg Neufeld.
- Fraser Valley jewelers KV Bijou and Gingerly Designs have created custom, limited edition pieces just for the event! Both will be onsite providing custom consultations and gorgeous handmade jewellery for the stars.
- Renowned Vancouver-based artist Chris MacClure will be our 'artist in residence', and will be presenting a gorgeous painting titled 'The Serenade'. Celebrity Lounge guests will autograph the artwork, which will be auctioned off for charity.
- Adding a hip, social media aspect to the event, live blogging will keep fans up to date with all the gossip and exclusives with minute by minute updates posted live, on the web.
And rest assured: this celebration of excellence is not simply a feast for the senses; we're gathering to positively impact our communities.
We'll be setting aside some of the fabulous Gift Bags and products from the Gift Lounge. These will be autographed by stars and donated to various charities. Star power = giving power.
